I have purchased a Mous case every year for like the last 5 years. They have always been my favorite cases. When I saw the cutout this year, I did not purchase the case because I hate the cutout for the camera button. When I saw that they added a button, I immediately purchased. I am still waiting for it to arrive but seeing this and other videos makes me think I will probably end up returning it. It's an expensive case, so for it to have these issues is just unacceptable. I have been really happy with my Spigen case this time around so might end up just getting another one of those. They spigen Ultra hybrid T has an excellent feel and camera control button.
Fair play! Mous have definitely phoned it in the past couple of years in my opinion, i would like to see the quality improve for sure. It's hard to argue with the Spigen cases that have the button, they've been great! Spigen need to make it standard though, it's so weird that some cases have it and some don't.
@@MichaelsTechTalkThis is what I’m waiting for, there is a specific spigen case I’d like to get but it doesn’t have a camera control button. I really wish they make it standard for all their cases
Appreciate your honest and detailed review. I feel like everything you brought up is really important - issues that show that the case is not high quality and not protective enough. I bought my first MOUS case for the iphone 14 pro max. What I did not like about it, was that the material the use for the frame feels slippery and also low quality. And at the time, the case cost 65 euros in Europe. I did not return it and last year I bought another one for my new iphone. It had the same issues so I returned it.

I had purchased the Walnut Phone Case with Camera Control Button, now waiting it shipping out. Hope it did not too disappointed me as many reviewer mentioned.
Never given Mous my money and never will. not only was the cut out of the original case ridiculous but this camera control version is just half arsed. I have the Spigen Tough Armor case with the camera control button and kickstand and it is great. and only cost £30. I wont be dropping it out of a plane so it will do just fine.
5:49 Why would you pull on that case like that in the first place? During normal operation you squeeze it to hold your phone. Cases are to protect your phone when dropping and from scratches so don't get the complain about pulling. Same with the button, does it fall out when the phone is in the case? is it loose by any means or what? if not in my view it's all good. How often do you take your phone of the case? You buy it to keep it in after all :D
Well.. Firstly, yes you are correct cases purpose is to protect your phone. However, the demonstration of showing how soft the case is demonstrates how it will wear over time. If it’s this soft now, how will it be in a few months of taking it in and out of your pocket, drops etc. the reason I showed that part is sometimes when taking my phone out of my pocket it can catch on the pocket and it pulls. Just a real world scenario. Secondly, I’m a reviewer. I use cases in rotation all the time as do a lot of people who buy cases, so the constant removal/application of cases will also induce wear and tear over a period of time. But as you say for a person who buys one case, this won’t be an issue in all honesty.
Nope, not spending my hard earned money on this case and I have always had a Mous case up until the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I really want a case with no cutouts, but haven't found a case I like.
This one is tough.. I bought the 6.0 with the cutout and I really don’t like it but I’ve grown to deal with it. I haven’t dropped my phone where it would be an issue. I saw this and was excited because I like having that full coverage. I’m still in my return window till like February (shoutout Amazon) do you think I should get this case or wait a month to see if they figure out the flexing problem?
Seems to me like most will just have to buy a case with compromises until these case companies have time to release a truly good product. For me personally I just bought a mujjo leather case on sale, because I need a case. I’d guess in 3-6 months there will be lots of options, for right now though I think you’ll be compromising if you try and find the perfect case.
@will_rcq4264, i can't answer that for you bud. All i can say is my experience with this case. You may like it better than i did, will be interesting to see if Mous reach out with an update.
I bought the leather case with the giant cut out. Spare a thought for those that spent a fortune on a case that has since been identified as not fit for purpose. Not ideal
That frame is awful, I can’t believe they let it go out for sale like that. I’ve had £6 Amazon cases that have a better structure to them! I really hope they don’t just get upset with you picking up faults and actually fix the issue instead. That’s a proper response, surely that’s why they send them for review.
So mous produced a new case that is cheaper obviously cut corners because of price and then bought these little buttons to go in there cases so the case had to be manufactured with this button in mind seems like a long way around in the wrong direction 🤪 I will not buy a mous case they have been overpriced for a few years now mous stop being so freeking greedy just admit you came up with a poor bandaid solution and go back to the drawing board 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
At this point MOUS is a dying brand. I’ve been buying them for myself, family, friends, and endorsing them to anyone who’d listen, since the brand started. I don’t know the reason why they’ve cut so many corners with their newest cases; but I for one will no longer be buying them. The newest NOMAD: Modern Leather and SPIGEN: Enzo Aramid have been the daily cases for my iPhone 16 Pro Max; because the quality and prices of both beat anything MOUS has produced this year to date.
@ I agree the edge above the screen is slim. However, I have a glass screen protector on and the case edge still goes past it. I’ve dropped the phone once outside and there was no damage to anything. I know Nomad cases were a bit hit or miss in past, but the one for the iPhone 16 Pro Max is good so far. Definitely better than the BANDWERK: Sport Leather case I had as well.
@@SYSTEM__32 I’ll probably pick one up after they make a camera control button because it is a pretty cool looking case, if they added grip strips to the sides and a bigger lip it would make the case way better.
I bought This Camera Control button at China For 5USD. So I think that Mous have to do more professional that make their own button than bougth from china to customer 😢
If you didn't notice China is making parts for top brands all over the world and not cos poor quality but cheper labour . The button ain't neither gold nor advanced electronics, it's indeed a simple thing so a dollar is a fair price when buying in bulk.
@@pan3x I notice that many top brand they have a factory at china. But the important thing is mous have to do their own design or camera control to build credibility to their brand.
